Once you get yourself to Australia it's really not that expensive if you chose the camping option. I realise there are a few qualifiers in that opening sentence and I do need to use them because if you don't do it right Australia can cost you an arm and a leg and you could easily end up having quite a bland experience. Family vacation like the locals do, and camp at some of the most amazing family campsites which have more facilities than the average caribbean all inclusive resort.

And we are away - Update on 13 Jan 2016
We managed to get away and are now officially without a permanent residence apart from our tent and trailer. We have been roughing it a little in National and state parks. All is going well and only wondering why we did not do this sooner as we settle in to a nomadic routine. I also found internet and enjoy doing our posts from Libraries which will allow us to upload short videos and images.
With only 10 days remaining to clean up our rental, the pressure is on. We also need to get our camping set up ready and record a little of our progress. Exciting to think that within a few weeks we will have the storage shed filled and the road ahead.
First stop is the Bunya Mountains. This allows us to celebrate the beginning of our road trip and test our camping set up. Soon our lease will expire on our house and we officially launch into our Australian adventure.
