North or South, East or West Lake Tahoe

One of the first questions to consider is which end of Lake Tahoe to stay at. This is an important decision especially in winter as it is not easy and often dangerous to do make the journey to the other end of the lake to enjoy your carefully planned and chosen activities. While in Summer this journey may take a little more than an hour it is generally easier to choose one location to begin with.

Families often opt for the more naturalistic Northern shore leaving the fancy casinos and motels of the South shore for the night owls.  [Refer to the Lake Tahoe Map]
